ttv (through the viewfinder)
this is a series of photographs taken with a digital SLR camera. they show the reflected images seen in the viewfinder of old twin-lens reflex cameras, including a 1950s argus argoflex seventy-five, a 1940s spartus full-vue, a kodak brownie starflex, a 1936 german voigtländer, a 1954 anscoflex II, and several other antique box cameras. several of these images are currently on display at gallery 400 square in beacon, ny. -
grand central terminal
a thrumming hub of flurried activity, grand central, for me, is the heart of manhattan. many of these photos were taken while commuting from two hours away; i'm planning to include some of these in an upcoming show about finding beauty on the way to work.
